#2: New Yorkers Have Left the Chat
People from all over the U.S. flock to NYC in hopes of shedding their small-town past and becoming who they’ve always wanted to be. It’s a stereotype that everyone in New York City is from somewhere else. Believe it or not, there are some people who are born and raised in the city, though!
This native New Yorker was overheard asking someone what it was like growing up in a small town. Turns out, as this New York transplant explained, growing up in a small town isn’t as cracked up as some people say it is. They described being in a small town as being in a group chat they never asked to join and couldn’t get out of. If you’ve ever been in a group chat, you immediately get what they mean. All the meddling questions and gossip is just too much sometimes. Leave us alone!
