The Original McNuggets
McDonald’s has been filling our bellies and breaking our hearts for decades. They have a habit of getting us hooked on menu items like the Arch Deluxe or their fried apple pies, only to change everything up or take it away. In 1975, McDonald’s introduced Onion Nuggets as an alternative to onion rings.
But like all good things, they came to an end and were replaced by the Chicken McNuggets we know and love today. Some people couldn’t get past the idea of biting into large deep-fried onion chunks, but there were enough people who loved them to spawn yet another Change.org petition to get them back into our takeout bags.
