Must Eat Past Full
You know those people who, as some will say, eat like a bird? After a few nibbles, they’re pretty much full. These people do not belong in South Korea. In this East Asian country, it is very frowned upon to leave food on your plate. This is derived from political problems South Korea has dealt with in the past.
North and South Korea were in conflict for many years and in 1910, Japan effectively annexed Korea with the Japan-Korea treaty. As a result, Korea experienced food shortages. So when you are dining out at a restaurant or at someone’s home, make sure you don’t overorder or overfill your plate.
