Home Cooking
Although most millennials are living on a tight budget, they are hitting the bars and restaurants 30% more than other generations. This may be correlated with the fact that many millennials are not getting married and having families at their current age, giving them more free time to explore their towns and a little more discretionary cash in their pockets.
Millennials cook on average 13 minutes per day and go for easy-to-prepare meals like microwave dinners, pasta, and sweets when grocery shopping. The majority of them order take-out, which has become a super-speedy process thanks to apps like Seamless and GrubHub. Food industries predict that by 2030, food deliveries will make up 10% of their market.
