Nothing More American Than Canned Food
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with canned food. In fact, the canning process ensures that the contents of the can remain fresh for longer, which is a huge bonus for those who travel by horse around the Wild West. As for the rest of us, we’ll stick to fresh foods, thank you.
But not the Dutch, at least in terms of how they store their hotdogs, anyway. In supermarkets in the Netherlands, you can purchase canned hotdogs, which sounds gross, but the brining liquid would actually make the dog taste saltier and, thus, more delicious. It would take some getting used to if they brought it State-side, though.
