When it comes to hard candies, most children have a special place in their hearts for Smarties. Well, this is only during Halloween, when certain houses get the cheapest candy to offer trick-or-treaters. Nobody actively searches for Smarties at the supermarket, but that’s not the point here.

What is the point is that Smarties go by a different name in Canada. Our brethren up north call them Rockets, which totally doesn’t make any sense at all. Smarties look nothing like rockets, but you could also argue that Smarties don’t look very smart, either. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a conundrum.
