It’s been about an eternity since we’ve had Rice Krispies, either in cereal form or in snack bar form. In spite of this, we can still taste—or rather, feel—these delicious little nuggets of evaporated rice grains snapping, crackling, and popping in our mouths with every spoonful.
In New Zealand and Australia, Rice Krispies go by a different name. In those countries, you’d have to keep your eyes peeled for Rice Bubbles. Why Bubbles, you ask? Apparently, the snapping, crackling, and popping sensation you get with Rice Krispies are akin to the popping of bubbles. We can sort of see where they’re coming from.
