During the early seventies, actress Pam Grier gained fame in Hollywood after starring in a string of movies of the sub-genre women in prison. One of her most notable roles during the seventies was in the blockbuster Foxy Brown in 1974.
Her fame and success continued into the eighties and nineties; during the eighties, she participated in highly-acclaimed TV shows, including Miami Vice and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and in a way, her career reached its peak when she was cast to star in Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown in 1997.
