Pre-Planning Plants
Some people find joy in gardening and decorating their front lawns with seasonal flowers and various plants. This person’s HOA embraces gardening, but only if they pre-approve your plans! There’s always a catch. If our storyteller wishes to plant new flowers in their yard, they have to get it approved by the community’s landscaping committee beforehand.

We can’t help but wonder what is on the “do not plant” list. Daisies? Petunias? Sunflowers? The possibilities are endless. While we understand wanting everyone’s house to look nice and presentable, this rule kills creativity! It kills the joy of a plant-lover choosing what fresh, new flowers to plant every season.
