Some HOAs set standards and rules that are impossible to achieve. It’s almost like certain associations WANT you to fail! We have a nagging suspicion this HOA had impossible rules as a sneaky way to slap residents with fines. Their most outrageous rule involved the placement of everyone’s trash cans on trash day.
The OP’s boss lived in an HOA that required all garbage cans to be placed on the curb for no longer than three hours before and after the trash truck rolled by for trash collection. Since trash day is almost always on a weekday, this proved an impossible rule to follow for the people who had to go to work every day. The OP’s boss was constantly fined because she was always away at work three hours before and after trash collection. What was she supposed to do?!
