Like many high school students trying to “find themselves”, Ciara was torn between her two loves of cheer and music. Not only did Ciara cheer for Riverdale High School in Georgia, but she was even captain of the squad. However, shortly after her promotion, she stepped down to pursue her dreams as a professional R&B musician. 

Most of us are unaware of the all-female band Ciara formed in high school because they broke up before any demo releases had been made. But that didn’t stop the singer. After Ciara graduated from Riverdale High School, she was picked up by LaFace Records and released her hit single, “Goodies”, which made her a chart-topping singer.
