#44: Like what you make!
If you don’t like what you’re making, it’s going to be hard to know if it’s good for others. I personally can’t stand canned tuna, so I steer clear of making tuna salad because I have no idea if the result is something my husband would enjoy. Similarly, when making pies, I choose my favorite fruits.

Since so much of cooking revolves around tasting it to see what it needs, you’re likely to have more success if you make foods you want to eat. Professional chefs don’t have this luxury, so we home cooks should live it up!
