Only using dry herbs
Dry herbs can add a ton of pizzazz to any dish. However, did you know that dry herbs were once fresh? It’s true! Oregano doesn’t grow in dried fleck on the plant! If possible, consider swapping out dried herbs with fresh ones from time to time. They’re less potent and offer a freshness that dried cannot match.
If you can’t find fresh herbs at the grocery store, you should think of growing your own. A packet of seeds, some soil, and a pot can cost just under $15 while also providing a lifetime of fresh herbs. It’s an investment that pays off in flavor!
