Visual History Tour of the United States: The Oldest Photos taken in Each State

Fort Marcy was built to border the dispute between New Mexico and Texas; however, no blood was really shed at that time, which is a rare historical situation! The US had announced war with New Mexico, generally because the two couldn’t settle on a border in the Southern part of the land.
