Prepare Your Pan Properly
If you’re planning to bake a cake, prepping your pan should be one of your first steps. The last thing you want is to pop a cake in the oven only to have it stuck in the pan once it’s cooked. Yes, this actually happens more often than you’d like to think (and we’d like to admit).
You can prepare your pan as soon as you start to mix your ingredients or can do it afterward. It is best to have it ready before you mix since the batter should always be cooked as soon as possible. Getting it out of the way will help you keep from forgetting this step.
