Peanut Brittle
Peanut brittle is one of those desserts that takes a million years to make but is gone in an instant. If you don’t have a million years, then making a batch of this crunchy goodness in your microwave will save you lots of time.
To get started, mix together one cup of sugar and ½ of a cup of corn syrup. Place the mix on a microwaveable plate and nuke it for four minutes. Now, add in chopped peanuts and microwave for three more minutes before adding a teaspoon of both butter and vanilla extract. Nuke it again for 90 seconds and, while it’s still piping hot, add a teaspoon of baking soda into the mix before swiftly pouring the mixture onto a baking sheet.
